It is hard to get much air pressure out of your mouth when you have a hole that connects your mouth and nose. You get leakage out of your nose. (I love Naomi's eyes in the picture)

On another note:
Duke was a HUGE hit when I picked up the boys from school today. If Zach were interested in girls Duke would be the way to get them lined up.
We are having a great time with the little guy. We did get a trial run a few months ago when he stayed with us but it is a bit different knowing he is here to stay.

Totally get why this is so HUGE! Our DD just had her palate repaired at age 4, but she was drinking from a straw prior to surgery! Amazing how they can force it from their lungs so hard it comes out the mouth and not all out the nose!

Oh Congrats! My little one also has CL/CP - going in today for her lip repair. There are definitely some things she can do that I can not for the life of me figure out how. Smart...and determined...huh?
