Just the 3 of Us

We went to the beach tonight for dinner, just the 3 of us. We brought some yummy pasta, watermelon and a bottle of wine. It was a perfect way to end the week. Look out our beautiful daughter. It was nice to have some uninterrupted time with Naomi. She is such a sweet girl, feisty and independent too. I look at her in amazement . . . she is home with her family now, we have her . . . WONDERFUL!!

Just in case you are curious, both boys are at sleep overs. One at Grandmas and the other at a friends. I am sure they are having a great time. I look forward to hearing how they spent their evenings.

Little Vacation

We are headed to a little cabin on the lake this weekend. This will be our second but longest time away from home with Naomi as part of our family. This always ends up being a great time, we share it with some good friends of ours. I will post pictures when we get back. I am going to take a mini vacation from my computer (hard for me to do). Now I must get back to packing and preparing food to bring with us. Have a great weekend!!!

Ana came to us as a Spanish student, now, three weeks later went home as a friend. We had a fun time having her with us and will miss her. Until next time. Isn't she a cute little thing? :) very sweet too!!

Weekend happenings

I started my weekend off with a trip to the farmers market, beautiful flowers for $10. LOVE IT!!
Saturday morning the kids and I headed to a parade. The best part was I got to see my old boss and her family.

I have been scouring Craig's list for a DSLR camera, well after weeks I finally found one. Oh my! this is so much more than I know what to do with. But I am eager and excited to learn.

Saturday night Ana made us this lovely Spanish meal . . . Tortilla. It was delicious.

Sunday my sister and I took Ana and her friend to the outlet mall, we shopped and shopped and it was so much FUN! Why is shopping so dang much fun? It just feels good.
