VBS - Sports Camp

These two just finished up a week of fun

Super excited for their last night of evening fun - crazy hair night.

They played soccer, volleyball, basketball and had a little worship time 

They are already talking about next year

Cleft Appointment

What a day it was.  So very l.o.n.g.

5 doctors.

First we had a hearing test.  She hears very well though not much movement by the ear drum.

We saw Dr. Hing she is the genetics doctor.  Do we or do we not have all her little chromosomes looked at????

The speech pathologist thinks she has apraxia of speech (not the first person to suggest this)  not a firm diagnosis.  I am going to try and get her into private speech along with what the school district provides.

Dr. Tse would like to do a lip and nose revision and try to close her fistulas behind her gumline.  It MIGHT help with speech.  He thinks it will set the stage for her bone graft.  We are looking at early fall.  I feel fine about this.

ENT doctor says leave well enough alone.  She is not getting ear infections and is hearing so well so why do tubes.  I agree.

My baby girl fell asleep in my arms between appointments.  Oh it was GLORIOUS!  I don't think she has sat still long enough to do that for years.  I soaked my girl in big time.  Watched her breath, sniffed her sweet smell and admired all her beautiful features.

A bit of summer

We have had a very chill summer thus far.  We had our weekend away with friends which was fun but oh so short.  

The last 2 weeks has consisted of daily swim lessons for my littlest 2.  It is paying off.  

Far too much ice cream.

Playing with friends.

Going to the zoo.

This little boy has helped me walk the neighbors dogs and boy do I LOVE his company.  He has stepped up and become the big kid with his brother gone.  Reminds me how important date time with each kid is.

The biggest news is my man got a new job.  He has been in the auto industry for 17 years (service side)  High stress and lots of hours.  Well he kissed that goodbye 2 weeks ago and went to work for a Marine company.  A family business.  So far he is diggin it and I can see it in his smile.   He is coming alive again.  I am so proud of him.

Hope everyone is having a great summer.   We are currently have thunder and showers. 

Camp 2012

Zach is off to Scouts camp.

I am sure he will have a blast he is most excited for the rifle shooting.

I am going to miss this guy but a little space between the 2 of us might be good.  He is a pre-teen and we have sure been struggling with all that comes with that.

He and dad are off.  I get all weepy when we have to say good bye and I figured it is better to do so at home.

We are off to a long weekend away

Lacrosse the final game.


First year of lacrosse for my oldest kid.

he learned a ton and played hard

we went into it with our eye's open though my hubby was skeptical.

ended up we loved watching him play

even these two had fun at the games

lucky enough to have an airshow practicing right above us.

Last Tuesday

Was warm and beautiful outside

It was my birthday so my friend and I got some yummy treats and went to the beach

we took two little monkeys with us

This cute little guy is hers

They played , clearly we were not prepared for swimming in the lake but that did not stop them.

 Us mamas sat, chatted, ate and got sun burned.

It was a lovely day.

Today I am wishing the sun would come back.
