Say It Aint So

I have been a Mom for 10 years now. My sweet 1st born son turned 10 at 3:35 in the morning. YIKES!!! Where does the time go.

He arrived via C-Section, he did not want to come out it was warm and cozy in there. He still kinda operates that way, slow, easy going, wants to soak up what is going on around him. This is a sweet kid, people like him, me too. I trust him, he is honest and I know when he is with others he chooses cautiously and makes good choices. Lord please let this continue into those teen years.

Thanie made him a special birthday card . . . Of course I teared up, I think it was the 3rd time since last night.

The night before one of the kids birthday I like to go to bed and remember all that I can about the birth (excluding the pain). Such sweet memories of his arrival. Holding and smelling him for the first time. The love I feel for my kids is something I never knew until this kid was born. Thanks Zach

I don't know if you can see the radio on his shirt, the one he calls old fashioned. I didn't even realized it looked "old fashioned" I am getting old, possibly a reason for one of the times I cried.

The Park

It was a beautiful day at the park. It really feels like spring in February. We enjoyed it.

My Monkeys

This is my long time very good friend Steph, we met in Kindergarten. In fact way back in Junior High we had BFF necklaces, we each had half a heart and when you put them together they made a whole. Cheesy . . . I know. But really my life would not be the same without her.

Toddler Bed

Sleep continues to change around here. Naomi is sleeping in our room, we had little crib the size of a pack-n-play. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that she was touching on both ends (if she was totally stretched out) so I searched craig's list and got this cute little toddler bed. She likes it and even makes it in the morning. There is room for her and 2 Kia Lan dolls and her big ol' teddy. Hoping someday she will be O.K. with it in her own room but for now she is in Mom and Dad's room.

One more thing . . . we just gave up the bedtime bottle, everyone was ready.

Heading to the Airport

Naomi and I are going to the airport this afternoon to meet Dukes new big sister. Tian is 9 years old from Changsha, China. I can't wait to meet her. I know she has a long road ahead of her but she is coming to a great new family and the most faithful momma I have ever met.

House Guest

Duke is visiting us. His momma and brother are in China picking up their 9 year old Mei Mei.

This kids are loving having him, he is a good patient little boy.

I have 2 friends in China at the moment. I LOVE watching these pretty, sweet, spunky little girls come home to their forever families. It creates a problem for me, I want to go back BAD. I know we will go back someday, soon would be good. Probably just to visit, but if left up to me I would bring home another.

Hopefully Pete does not look at this post, he just might lock me up.
