She did it!!!

Naomi blew into her recorder . . . Did you hear that? She blew out of her mouth not her nose.

It is hard to get much air pressure out of your mouth when you have a hole that connects your mouth and nose. You get leakage out of your nose. (I love Naomi's eyes in the picture)
Pride

Pure Joy
On another note:

Duke was a HUGE hit when I picked up the boys from school today. If Zach were interested in girls Duke would be the way to get them lined up.
We are having a great time with the little guy. We did get a trial run a few months ago when he stayed with us but it is a bit different knowing he is here to stay.

Never say Never

I have another "I will never" life decision to add. . . take a look

When Zach and Nathaniel got home from school today I had a little scavenger hunt for them

The first clue

What is next??

Figuring out the final clue

"Cookin up a hot-dog" "but don't eat this one"

The prize - DUKE!!!

Hanging out by the Barbecue. He did bark a few times during the hunt, but luckily the boys did not clue in on it.

A DELIGHTED little boy and his dog

Three very happy kids, one very bossy girl already signing to Duke "go potty"

A tired boy . . . we took our evening walk with the little boy. It is nice to have a dog again. Never would I have a small dog . . . Geesh! Hard to resist when they are so dang adorable and sweet!!!

Spring and House Hunting

Spring is here. It is beautiful!!!

Along with spring arriving I have decided to run a 1/2 marathon. I did one several years back and vowed it would be my first and last. As you see here I am training again. There are so many things I said I would never do. . .

I owned a station wagon and it was white. I said I would never own a wagon or a white car, still no mini van though.

I said I would only have 2 kids, as you can see I have 3, no mistakes there.

Never ever would I live in the suburbs, always the city. Well we are searching for the perfect house for our family it is tough but seems to be the best thing to do. Unless that money tree starts producing big time. . . we are headed for the burbs.

This house thing really has me bogged down. A couple months ago when we started this decision making process moving sounded O.K. a new adventure with my family. We made an offer on what we thought was the perfect house it was a short sale. Turns out the owners are going to let the house go into foreclosure. The house will be up for auction in the next 3-4 months, do we wait?? No !? We have an offer on our house with no real estate and very nice people. It seems perfect. What to do ?? What to do??? These decisions drain me, along with my allergies.

We spent several hours today looking at different neighborhoods. Did not find anything. We will keep looking I know in time we will find the best home.

Look at the beautiful cherry trees . . . reminds me of the dream I had the morning of Naomi's referral

Pardon the extremely random post. My brain is just a mushy mess. But look how sweet my little girl is, by the way she is really turning into a little girl not such a baby anymore.

Sushi Party

Zach choose a sushi party for his birthday. We had our families over. We are lucky that way, both sides of our family can join in together. We ate sushi along with lots of other yummy food and topped it off with Champagne cake. My 10 year old is getting quite sophisticated in his taste.

At the end of the evening my boy came and sat next to me and said "I am going to sit here, my favorite place" O.K. that made my day possibly even my month. This kid was truly grateful for all the hard work that was put into his party all his fun gifts and his family.

My first time making sushi turned out pretty good . . . glass of wine and sushi making with my sister made for a lovely afternoon.

PS. Not sure why my pictures are not showing up . . . this is one collage . . . Can you see it???
