re-adoption

A year later our girl is legally ours in the eyes of the U.S. Her name is legally Naomi and we ordered a US birth certificate.

I thought it was just a "business" thing. It was way more emotional than that. I think part of the emotion was that it reminded me of all the procedural stuff in China just a year ago. We have been a family of five for just over a year.

All five of us had to raise our right hands and swear to tell the truth . . . What an experience for my boys.

Congrats Amy! I am so happy for your beautiful family. And Naomi has grown so much in this past year. I just sat down last night to figure out how to complete the re-adoption process. Needless to say I am making a phone call to my social worker this morning. It's a little confusing!
Congrats again on this glorious re-adoption day!

Wonderful pics for a wonderful day Amy! Congratulations. I may have some questions for you very soon. We can't decide whether to do this at 6 months or 1 year. I'm thinking 1 year would be better for us.
